Advantage Unlimited

Training and Development for Social Inclusion

Advantage Unlimited is a small  training consultancy specialising in personal development for people who are in some way disadvantaged.

Their programmes enable participants to develop their communication and interpersonal skills  and greatly increase their self confidence. This in turn helps them to become more independent and more integrated into the community in which they live.

Sue Barker presenting the National Training Award to

Val Goldberg and Di Beacom

Val Goldberg and Di Beacom, the company's two trainers,  have gained a National Training Award for their programme for people with Asperger Syndrome, 77 per cent of whom are now in employment.  They  have also worked with  homeless women, teenage mothers and people with severe mental illness

They have a person centred approach and  design each course to meet the needs of that particular group.  Training methods are participative, varied and fun and they create a safe environment in which all participants feel able to contribute.

They have worked closely with charities and can help to access funding if required.
